Skills are a player's trainable abilities which may be levelled throughout their game play. Sally can be assigned to train a skill by clicking on that skill's tile. Each town has different skills, with almost all skill tiles requiring completion of quests to unlock. Combat skills can also be trained by attacking and defeating monsters in dungeons. A skill level can also be increased by consuming anima. Blue Anima is needed to level up trade skills, while Red Anima is needed to level up combat skills. When a new skill level is reached, the player must click the skill icon before he or she can level up.
There are currently 13 trade skills and 13 combat skills in the game, for a total of 26 skills. Invention, while present in RuneScape, is not currently available in RuneScape: Idle Advenutres.
Achieving higher skills helps players generate more anima, reduce the anima cost of citizens, and increase town speed. Furthermore, increasing levels in combat skills increases the respective skills' potency in dungeons.
Equipping items can increase a skill's town speed and anima, while reducing citizen cost. Equipped items can also increase Max HP, damage output and reduce ability cooldown for combat skills.
